Schon damals wurde ich Fan seiner originellen und persönlichen Spielweise. Die Jazzszene der ehemaligen DDR hat eine besondere Musik geschaffen die für Eigenständigkeit und Spielfreude steht.\u003cbr\u003e\nJoe und ich haben uns dann zum ersten Mal beim legendären italienischen Jazzfestival in Clusone getroffen und die Idee entstand einmal zusammen im Duo zu spielen. Dieser Wunsch ist nun Wirklichkeit geworden und vom ersten Moment an war es für uns beide sehr leicht und inspirierend miteinander zu musizieren. Dieses erste Konzert wurde zufällig mitgeschnitten und nachdem wir uns die Aufnahmen anhörten entstand der Wunsch sie zu veröffentlichen. Dank Ulli Blobel und der jazzwerkstatt ist dieser Wunsch nun Wirklichkeit geworden. Nils Wogram\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eEN\u003cbr\u003e\nI had the chance to get to know Joe Sachse’s playing many years ago through the band DOPPELMOPPEL. I was already a fan of his original and personal way of playing back then. The jazz scene in the former GDR created a special music that expressed an independent style and a pleasure in playing.\u003cbr\u003e\nJoe and I first met at the legendary Italian jazz festival in Clusone and came up with the idea of playing together as a duo. This wish has now become reality and from the very first moment playing together was quite easy and inspiring for both of us. There happened to be a recording of this first concert and after we listened to it we wanted to have it published. Thanks to Ulli Blobel and the jazzwerkstatt this wish has now also become reality.
