DAVE LIEBMAN GROUP – TURNAROUND, THE MUSIC OF ORNETTE COLEMAN

Much has already been written about the musical legacy of Ornette Coleman, about his "harmelodic" approach, and his general influence. His early recordings from the late 1950s and early 1960s alone, and from that period in particular the double quartets of "Free Jazz", are enough to secure him a place in music history.

As in any great music, it is the spirit that shines the brightest. In Ornette's music, the spirit of joy prevails that permeates everything and to which it is thanks that all love his art so much. His music is an expression of an irrepressible joie de vivre. Uplifting and sad, playful and deadly at the same time, it encompasses the entire spectrum of human existence. In deep respect for a true individualist and master of his profession, I hope you enjoy our Ornette-Coleman journey.
